VideoMic Rycote is a professional grade 1/2″ condenser shotgun microphone designed for use with home camcorders and personal audio recorders.

An integrated, shock-mounting system based on Rycote® Lyre®, eliminates external physical factors that can cause unnecessary sounds and vibrations to the microphone.

Constructed from a single material of heavy duty thermoplastic plastic that is virtually impossible to sag or wear out. The Lyre® also offers an acoustic suspension capability better than traditional elastic formats

. Also Its standard size shoe mount has a 3/8″ groove at the base of the shoe mount so it can be easily attached to a boom pole or stand.
With the adoption of a super cardioid polarity pattern, VideoMic is highly directional and focuses on the front of the camera while minimizing any sound around you.

In addition to the microphone’s original 40Hz – 20kHz response, the high pass filter can be set to 80Hz to prevent low frequency sounds like sound in air conditioning devices and traffic vehicles. Choose from inside the battery compartment – 10dB and -20dB level attenuation function (or PAD) allows you to record loud sound sources like live music and motorsport competitions.
