Zhiyun didn’t stray too far away from the classic design of their popular CRANE 2, but made some needed improvements. These include a new 0.96-inch OLED screen makes it easier to navigate through the entire menu system and switch between modes in a pinch. All while the new, smaller and more ergonomic (and precise) focus knob makes it easier to grab focus (with compatible camera/lens combos).
Moreover, the new CRANE 2S comes loaded with multiple mounting points. And in addition, the Zhiyun TransMount Image transmitter can be mounted on the bottom of the quick release base without any screws, which can save you time.
Versatile Shooting Modes and Wireless Video
Furthermore, the new CRANE 2S comes packed with 6 creative gimbal modes including: Pan Follow, Locking, Follow, Full-Range POV, Vortex mode, and Go mode. In addition, users get the benefit of advanced cinematic effects such as Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse.
For sending a wireless video signal to a monitor or smartphone/tablet the Zhiyun TransMount ecosystem offers plenty of versatility.
The CRANE 2S uses three removable 18650 Li-ion batteries, which should last you for a full production day (12-hour runtime) according to Zhiyun Tech.
