The RØDE VideoMic is everything you need to record crystal clear audio

to match the high definition video of todays cameras. The VideoMic is designed for simplicity of operation so you don’t need to be an expert to get professional results.

Compared to the smaller VideoMic GO,

Rode VideoMic camera-mount shotgun microphone offers battery powering, extended low-end response, and customizable audio settings. Its switchable pad and bass roll-off optimize it for mobile journalists, vloggers, and run-and-gun shooters in loud or rumble-heavy environments.

This shotgun microphone features an integrated shockmount that mounts directly to your DSLR,

mirrorless, or video camera and reduces noise from vibrations and camera handling. The windscreen design reduces wind noise, making it well suited for outdoor shoots. The attached 3.5mm TRS cable ensures easy hookup to your camera,
and the dual-mono output means that no channel selection is necessary on your recording device. 

Shotgun Mic with Directional Sound Pickup
Whereas most built-in camera microphones pick up sound from all directions, this microphone utilizes a supercardioid polar pattern to focus on sound in front of it while attenuating sound from the sides and rear.
Its active electronics and directional condenser element
deliver more detailed audio than the mics typically found in cameras and portable recorders.
Easy Hookup to Camera
A coiled 3.5mm cable is permanently attached to the mic for fast hookup to your camera. The cable’s 3.5mm TRS plug is wired in a dual-mono configuration, ensuring that the mic signal is sent identically to both input channels of your camera or portable recorder.

The Rode pack is an anniversary microphone package that includes a professional-quality NT1-A microphone and a number of useful recording accessories.

The NT1-A is a large-diaphragm side-address condenser microphone intended for general instrument and vocal recording. The mic features a 1″ diaphragm with a gold-plated membrane, which provides a wide frequency response and exceptional signal-to-noise ratio. The cardioid polar pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection, minimizing noise caused by room ambiance, instruments, monitors, headphones, etc. The balanced, transformer-less output circuitry results in quiet, low-noise signal reproduction at high output levels. The NT1-A is powered via 48V phantom power and has a standard XLR connector.

The bundled accessory package includes a studio-grade shock mount with an integrated pop filter, a 20′ premium cable, and a dust cover. It also has a bonus DVD presented by Rode founder and president, Peter Freedman. The DVD covers a variety of tips and techniques to help you get the most out of your NT1-A.
