The Boya BY-M1 is an omni-directional lavalier microphone, ideal for video use.
It’s designed for use with smartphones, DSLRs, camcorders, audio recorders,
and PCs, making it a versatile option for various recording needs.

  • Omnidirectional Pickup Pattern: Offers full 360-degree coverage, ensuring clear and consistent audio capture from any direction.
  • 6-Meter Cable: The integrated 6-meter (20”) cable with a 3.5mm 4-pole gold plug allows direct connection to smartphones and most cameras.

Usage Modes:

  • For Smartphones: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF/Smartphone position. The microphone is powered down in this mode.
  • For DSLR, Camcorders, Audio Recorders, PCs: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position to activate the microphone.

Recording Modes:

  • Two Recording Modes: The 3.5mm 4-pole TRRS output connector allows connection to cameras or camcorders in “Camera” mode,
    and to smartphones or PCs in “OFF/Smartphone” mode.
