Image Sensor and Shooting Modes
18MP APS-C CMOS Sensor and DIGIC Processing
At the heart of the EOS 4000D is an 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor, which combines with DIGIC processing to provide both speed and image quality for stills and video shooting.
For photographing moving subjects, up to 3 fps continuous shooting is possible for unlimited JPEGs in a burst or up to 6 consecutive raw frames. Additionally,
the sensor and processor enable working in a variety of lighting conditions and the sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400 can be expanded to ISO 12800 for photographing in especially dim lighting conditions.
Full HD Video Recording
Beyond stills, the EOS 4000D is also capable of recording up to Full HD video at 30p, as well as HD video at 60p and SD at 30p. The onboard monaural microphone handles audio recording and contrast-detection autofocus is available during recording.

The EOS RP is an affordable yet advanced camera in Canon’s full frame line-up. Offering next generation full frame optical performance with the potential to explore future RF lenses, such as the RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM, the EOS RP features the innovative RF Mount with its high-speed 12-pin communication system, short back focus and wide 54-mm mount diameter. Built from the ground up, the RF Mount provides lenses with new levels of optical performance, responsiveness and functionality. Photographers and videographers can also experience the full performance of their existing EF and EF-S lenses thanks to three EF-EOS R adapter options, with additional functionality when using the control ring or drop-in filter adapter.
Supporting creativity with silence, speed and quality
The EOS RP’s 26.2 Megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, coupled with Canon’s latest DIGIC 8 processor, offers a creative step-up with the optimal balance of detail, control over depth of field and incredible low light shooting performance. Optimised for low light conditions, the ISO 40,000 – expandable up to a range of ISO 102,400 – works alongside the powerful Dual Pixel CMOS AF system to enable photographers to shoot in even the darkest environments with confidence, with a shooting capability down to -5 EVi.
With an emphasis on achieving optimal clarity straight from the camera, DLO (Digital Lens Optimiser) correction is applied in-camera to RF lenses and up to five EF lenses when registered in the camera. For post-editing options, the EOS RP offers the latest generation CR3 14-bit RAW file format, alongside a compact RAW option to save approximately 40 percent on the file size of standard RAW files. This increases the number of images that can be stored on a memory card whilst retaining the flexibility of shooting with RAW. For instant editing, images can be processed in-camera with Creative Assist offering a range of filters, effects and controls that make it simple to obtain the desired result for instant sharing.
Canon has announced the 26mp EOS RP compact mirrorless full-frame camera, designed for advanced amateurs.
